Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

A: Kip is the first community-based meet tracker for Mens and Womens artistic gymnastics.

It was designed and built by Matt, a parent just like you, who felt that there had to be a better way to keep track of his gymnasts scoring!

Thank You!

Thank you for your interest in Kip. I've made every effort to make Kip as useful and easy-to-use as possible. I sincerely hope that you enjoy using Kip!

A: Kip is designed to bring together parents, coaches, team parents, and gymnasts, to allow them to manage their meet scoring and view valuable historical data. It does this by connecting everyone using Kip to a central system that keeps track of meets, sessions, and scores. This allows you to see scores as they are entered by other Kip users in real-time on your device! No more flipping through papers, and frantically scribbling down scores while asking others if they got a score that you missed. Track your own gymnasts and watch as other scores fill in when others enter them. Now you can have more time to watch and enjoy your gymnast compete!

A: Once you've found the meet you want follow these steps to join it:
  1. If the meet doesn't have any sessions you'll need to add one. To do this, tap the Add Session button
    • When adding a session please enter the name as it appears in your program so that others can easily find it!
    • Once you've added the session simply tap the session to continue!
  2. If the meet already has your session tap the session to continue!

A: Tap the add session button and enter the session information. Please be as accurate as you can so others can join the right session!
A: If you need to edit a sessions information (such as a typo, or incorrect time), simply swipe the session row to the left. This will uncover a menu that will allow you to edit and delete the session. If the session has any gymnasts already joined to it then you will not be able to delete the session.

A: You can add a gymnast by tapping the Add Gymnast button or by going back to the menu, tapping on My Gymnasts, and adding a gymnast from there.
